Ms. Mihalko is Orchestra Director in Farmington Public Schools at East Middle School and teaches 5th grade Orchestra at Beechview and Lanigan Elementary Schools. She graduated from Michigan State University with her Bachelors in Music Education and recently earned her Masters in Music Education from the University of Michigan.
Ms. Mihalko is an active member of the Michigan Chapter of the American String Teachers Association (MASTA). Ms. Mihalko is a cellist by training but can also play violin, viola, and bass. She has also been a guest clinician at several school districts in southeast Michigan and in Ohio. In addition to teaching, Ms. Mihalko is the Director of the MASTA String Camps, annual orchestra camps for students in grades 4-9 held at the Howell Nature Center in Howell, Michigan. When not teaching or working at camp, Ms. Mihalko enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter Elizabeth, family, friends, her dog Neville and two cats Archer & Buttercup, going for walks, gardening, horseback riding, reading, and just enjoying life! |
